The Senate Finance and Budget Committee has recommended Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto be arrested for awarding contracts to companies owned by his relatives and proxies.

Committee chair Billow Kerrow said the anti-corruption agency and the Director of Public Prosecutions should charge Rutto with nepotism. Rutto hired his relatives without involving the county Public Service Board, the committee said.
