To mark the 400th
anniversary since William
Shakespeare’s death, the British Council ran a
global campaign called “Shakespeare
Lives”, exploring his work which is still relevant in contemporary times.
In Kenya, the British High Commissioner, Nic Hailey, hosted a reception at
his Muthaiga residence on Thursday evening.
To showcase the relevance of the celebrated author's in a contemporary Kenyan setting, there were performances from Sauti Sol, Octopizzo, Muthoni the Drummer Queen, British rapper Akala, The Hip Hop

In attendance were Kenya Film Commission chairman Chris Foot, Coldwell Bank (K) managing director
Danielle Callaway, Atis East Africa managing director Michael Turner and Barclays Bank's chief of staff Gerald Maithya.
