Export Promotion Council appoints Jaswinder Bedi as its new chairman

Export Promotion Council has appointed Jaswinder Singh Bedi as its new chairman with immediate effect.

EPC said Bedi brings on board a wealth of experience, being a renowned industrialist in Kenya, a leading exporter, international trade negotiator and operative.

Bedi was previously the chairman of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers and the African Cotton & Textile Industries Federation.

He is also the managing director of Bedi Investments, executive director of Fine Spinners, vice president of International Textile Manufacturers Federation, vice chairman of the East African Business Council and the governor of Kenya Private Sector Alliance.

“His experience spans many years and he has been instrumental in establishing a credible textile VISA system, a requisite that has ensured Kenya’s continuous eligibility under the African Growth and Opportunity Act,” EPC chief executive Ruth Mwaniki said.
