Chinese man arrested with ivory worth Sh300,000 at JKIA

A Chinese man was arrested at the JKIA on Monday night for having ivory valued at Sh300,000 in the form of bangles.

Police said the 56-year-old man was on his way

from the DRC to China.

Several Chinese nationals have been arrested at the airport in Nairobi for trafficking illegal items.

A 40-year-old man found with ivory was arrested last week on his way from Cameroon to Guangzhou in China.

On April 5, two Chinese nationals were apprehended at the airport for allegedly

illegal wildlife trophies.
