First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Wednesday took the Beyond Zero message to Migori, where she expressed optimism that the county can eliminate new HIV cases and achieve zero child and maternal deaths.

She said through collaborative partnerships, the county can also achieve 100 per cent immunisation of babies against childhood diseases. The First Lady spoke at St Pius Uriri Boys Secondary School when she handed over the 37th fully kitted mobile clinic to Migori.

The clinic, sponsored by the Family Bank, was received by Governor Okoth Obado. Migori county has one of the highest HIV infections in the country, according to National Aids Control Council director Dr Nduku Kilonzo, who was present. Margaret said access to health for women, girls, children and every citizen should be a concern for everyone.
