Mob lynches three thugs in botched Nairobi robbery

Three suspected thugs were lynched during an attempted robbery

in Gachie area, Nairobi, on Tuesday.

Police said the suspects, who were on a motorcycle, had tried to steal cash and valuables from a woman when she raised the alarm.

A mob responded and killed the suspects, an officer said, adding investigations were launched.

The bodies were taken to City Mortuary.

and three others injured by gangsters in an incident in Nairobi's Umoja 2 estate on

March 5.

One of those killed was 32-year-old Geoffrey Munda, who was a driver with City Hoppa bus services.

Munda found the attackers had

broken into an M-Pesa shop near his house when he returned from work that day.

The second man was leaving for work when he was attacked. The thugs thought he was calling police when they saw him talking on the phone.
