Former minister Wilson Ndolo Ayah has passed on at the Aga Khan Hospital aged 84.
The former Kisumu Rural Legislator died on Wednesday.
Ayah served in the Daniel Arap Moi's
government
as Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as Minister for Research, Science and Technology.
He was first appointed Minister for Research Science and Technology in August 1987 and later served as Foreign Affairs Minister from 1990-1993.
Ayah was first elected to Parliament in 1969 in Kisumu Rural which he lost in 1974.
He also served as the first chairman of Safaricom after retiring from active politics.
Ayah leaves behind a son, Dr Richard Ayah.
