Hollywood star Clive Owen 'sneaked' into Kenya for charity

HOLLYWOOD lead man Clive Owen was in Kenya for charity. The actor famed for his deep baritone voice sneaked in and out of the country without the media getting wind of it. Clive visited the Maasai Mara region where Free the Children organisation has a number of charity activities.

The Inside Man star spoke about his visit to Kenya during Wednesday night's WE Day concert in London.

The event was attended by a

whole host of celebrities. The concert is a series of inspirational talks and events that encourage young people to make a difference in their communities.

Clive said of his involvement: "I'm honoured to return to the WE Day stage to congratulate the thousands of students who have all earned their ticket, and to applaud all the incredible work they've done throughout the year. Ever since my family and I went on a trip to Kenya to see the work of Free the Children four years ago, I have been a proud ambassador of a movement that is doing such important work and creating such positive change in the world."

Clive joined the likes of Rita Ora, Princess Beatrice and Professor Brian Cox on the stage for a day filled with fun, famous faces, and seriously inspirational stories.

In 2005, the 51-year-old English actor won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his appearance in the drama Closer. He has since played leading roles in films such as Sin City, Blood Ties, Derailed, Inside Man, Shoot 'Em Up, Last Knights, Children of Men, The Pink Panther and The International.
