A fast-rising Afro-pop artiste and dancer aims to unify Kenyans through his music.

Andy Gold, who has just released a new jam titled Nikaribie, says he didn't join the music industry for fame or riches, but to educate the society about unity and love.

“With the opportunity I've been given, I need to reach out to my brothers and sisters everywhere and inspire them through my music, a force which can break down the walls of culture and labels,” he says.

The alumni of the prominent Conservatoire’ School of Music and Kamata Music School says he draws his musical influence from the late James Brown, John Barry and Michael Jackson.

He says of his new song: “Nikaribie was produced at Urban Scorch records by Sir Chah. Although it's a fast-paced Afro-beat R&B song, it's so reminiscent of the legendary Michael Jackson due to its 90s feel.”

The 28-year-old singer's single Ni Wewe Tu — off his debut album Thahabu — received wide airplay in 2015. He is signed at iScan Media Talent.
