Controller of Budget Agnes Odhiambo has denied reports she and her deputy Stephen Masha were summoned to State House over their perceived close links with opposition chief Raila Odinga.

In a statement yesterday, Odhiambo said: “I wish to state that by virtue of the office, the Controller of Budget has been to State House severally for meetings.”

She denied consulting Raila about the Eurobond.

“I have never confided in Raila Odinga about the fact that close to $1 billion of Eurobond funds were not transferred to the national Exchequer account,” Odhiambo said.

She told the press to verify information.

“My office is always open to enquiries,” Odhiambo said.
