THE Director of Public Prosecution has until tomorrow to respond to a bail application by two West Africans charged with having Sh110 billion in fake cash.

Mohammed Sani alias Dr Mustafa and Ousman Bako moved to the High Court after they were denied bond.

Chief magistrate Daniel Ogembo said the two are a flight risk.

However, they said bail is their constitutional right.

The two allegedly had forgery papers on January 14 and 15 in Diamond Park II estate, Nairobi county.

The court heard they had 6,931,000 pieces of paper intended to resemble and pass as US dollar currency notes.

They were also charged with having 739,200 papers intended to resemble the Euro currency notes.

The two were accused of having two scanners and two iodine bottles for producing US dollars and Euro currency notes.

Yesterday, Justice Luka Kimaru gave the DPP more time to respond to the application.
