Boda boda operators stormed an Embu police station to demand a new motorcycle for one of their own.

They said two police officers had borrowed a motorcycle from their colleague but lost it.

The boda boda operators drove into the Manyatta police station in Embu North subcounty in scores on Wednesday afternoon, demanding that their colleague be given another motorcycle.

They created a scene by continuously hooting in the police station.

The operator also demanded to see senior officers in-charge, but they were not around.

Motorcycle owner Moris Nyaga said the two officers on Tuesday asked him to lend them the boda boda.

He said they told him they will “rush somewhere and bring it back”.

Nyaga said the officers, however, did not return the boda boda.

He said they called him on the phone and told him it had gone missing.

The boda boda operators said the two officers should pay for it since it had gone missing in their possession.

They refused to leave the station until area MCA Michael Munyi, alias Osama, came and intervened.

He talked to the officers, who agreed to pay for the motorcycle in a week.
