CORRUPTION IS COSTLY: Kiambu Governor William Kabo- go at Thogoto Level 4 Hospital on November 12 last year.

Kiambu county will not tolerate anyone involved in graft, Governor William Kabogo has said.

“Corruption is expensive, bad and causes problems in the county because we are not able to give services to the people because of lack of funding,” he said.

Kabogo spoke on Wednesday in his office in Kiambu.

“We have several new hospitals that we are building. We have water that we ought to give to the communities. We have agricultural services and roads which cost money that Kenyans are paying,” he said.

This follows the recent arrest of four Finance department employees who were charged in court on Wednesday with trying to defraud the county of Sh18 million.

Kabogo said with digital technology it will not be easy to defraud the county.

The county will use all means to ensure the accused are brought to book to serve as a lesson to others, he said.

Kabogo urged Kiambu residents to work together to ensure the county is corruption-free.
