The Architectural Association of Kenya unveiled the 2016 edition of their excellence awards at the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi on Wednesday morning.
AAK chairman Gad Opiyo said the awards, which will be presented in two weeks, aims at promoting excellence in the sector.
Some of the categories to be awarded include best residential project, best commercial building, best hospital facility, best cultural building project, best hospitality building, best educational building and best landscaping.
The title sponsor for the awards are leading paints manufacturer Basco Paints.
In attendance were Architectural Association of Kenya Architects Chapter chairman Gad Opiyo and Basco Paints MD Kamlesh Shah.
