Embu Deputy Governor Dorothy Nditi will run for woman representative in next year.

She told the Star she is not reaching residents at the grassroots level as “my hands are tied down by a lot of bureaucracy”.

Nditi said governors are ineffective because of the numerous rules they have to follow.

She said deputy governors do not have autonomy and serving as MP will help her reach residents.

Nditi dismissed critics who say she is demeaning herself by running for woman representative.
