The Water ministry will sink a borehole and build water storage facilities at the Garissa University College.

Speaking in Garissa town yesterday, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa said his ministry will stand by the college.

A Sh250 million perimeter wall will be built complete with a watchtower and flash lights.

A police post has also been opened inside the institution, which is guarded throughout the day.

“We shall not give in to the terrorists agenda. I thank students who have courageously reported back, despite the gruesome attack. This is our ground zero,” Wamalwa said.

He said Garissa is one of the fastest growing towns in the country but is faced with serious water shortages.
