Tuesday early morning saw the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, host a breakfast to launch
the 3rd Edition of the First Lady’s Half Marathon set for March 6.
Held at State House, Nairobi, the first lady said that the Beyond Zero campaign continues to be a top priority initiative as it was two years ago as
“Kenya continues to rank in the top-ten African countries, where maternal health and child mortality lags. Kenya, is perceived as one of the most dangerous countries for a woman to be pregnant, and give birth”,
In attendance were various stakeholders of the Beyond Zero campaign including diplomats, government officials, corporates, media and members of the civil society.
