A court yesterday suspended Nairobi and Kisumu forthcoming elections of the Kenya County Government Workers Union following a suit challenging them.

The elections were scheduled for January 25 and 26 respectively to elect a secretary general and delegates.

Five members of the union have sued to stop the elections, saying they were called without members’ consent.

The case was filed before High Court judge Hellen Wasilwa in Nairobi.

The case will be mentioned on February 18.
