Having started in 2014, the 10-day food marathon has grown tremendously in both popularity and the number of participating restaurants. This year, the third edition #NRW2016, will take place from next Thursday to Sunday. There are more than 60 outlets offering three course meals for either Sh1,500 or Sh2,500 (inclusive of taxes).
Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala says,
“Nairobi Restaurant Week 2016 offers the ultimate culinary experience by bringing to light Kenya’s vibrant dining scene in a diverse showcase of Nairobi’s best restaurants. With the flavours of Kenya all coming together in the country’s biggest annual celebration of food and dining, there has never been a better time to discover the tantalising sensations of eating and drinking in Kenya.”
So for those who are new to it, it works as follows. Log on to www.eatout.co.ke to get a list of the participating restaurants, pick out where you want to go and also have a look at the menus offered at the different venues. From previous experiences, the restaurants get very busy during the week so while its not compulsory, it is recommended to make a booking so as to not get disappointed.

during the promotion. And since alcoblow is a national issue these days, Uber is on hand to make sure you do not drink and drive with their complimentary rides.
