Heavy rains are expected in Nairobi, Mt Kenya and the South Rift from January 15 to 17, the Meteorological Department has warned.
More than 30mm of rainfall will be experienced in Narok, Bomet, Kericho, Nakuru, Nakuru, Nyahururu, Nyeri, Muranga, Embu, Meru, Kiambu and Nairobi, said director Danson Ireri.
“Residents are advised to be on the lookout for sudden
downpours which may cause flash floods,” he said in a letter dated January 13.
He advised caution should the rains persist.
