A police officer was shot dead by three armed thugs at Check-Point Shika Adabu, in Mombasa county.
Nelson Mwadime was escorting a maize flour lorry to Diani when the
suspects who were on a motorcycle killed him,
Likoni CID boss David Siele said.
The thugs stole Mwadime's G3 rifle which was loaded, Siele told the Star on Tuesday.
He said police officers are trailing the suspects.
