An employee at World 800 metres champion David Rudisha’s farm is among three suspects arrested with Sh250,000 ivory.
Another suspect is a former military officer.
The three were arrested at Kaptuli trading centre, 100 kilometres from Rimoi National Game Reserve.
“KWS officers posed as buyers and gave the suspects a phone call expressing interest,” county police commander Shariff Abdalla said.
Rudisha was at the Iten police station but did not comment.
