Kamuchiri village in Mai Mahiu is currently a chaotic scene after flash floods and a landslide left behind a trail of destruction.

"We expect the numbers to go up as the search and rescue goes on," an official said.
Kenya Red Cross said the floodwaters originated from a nearby river that broke its banks on Sunday night.
The flash floods also swept off a number of homes in the village.
