Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his DAP-K counterpart Eugene Wamalwa toured Migori county to shore up their parties' support bases ahead of the next election.

During the three day tour, Kalonzo opened new party offices in Kehancha town and Kuria West constituency.

The tour came as Raila Odinga cast his ambition for the Africa Union chairmanship.

Kalonzo also met people in Migori, Awendo and Rongo towns.

He was accompanied by Wamalwa, Kitui Senator Wambua Kiio, Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu, Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri and Matunguru MP Stephen Mule.

“Even if Raila is goes to Addis Ababa, we shall stand together as Azimio and put this government on toes,” Kalonzo said.

He urged Migori residents to register as members of his party.

“We believe that in 2027 Kenyans will see the light and the best way is to have our bid sponsored by Kenyans who should come together and save our country,” Kalonzo said.

He criticised President William Ruto's tax levies, saying they are hurting Kenyans.

"Ruto is the new breed of Zakayo because he has stuck to the tree and and refused to come down with his taxes . In 2027 we will cut down the tree,” Kalonzo said.

He urged the government to end Kenyans' suffering and solve the doctors strike.

“We may be forced to tell Kenyans to move to the streets, we are not afraid to face the Kenya kwanza government,” Kalonzo said.

The Azimio Principal criticised nterior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki for calling for the arrest of the youth who heckled Ruto in Rift Valley.

Wamalwa criticised Ruto for failing to bring down the cost of living and backtracking on his election pledge of bettering the lives of hustlers.

“Instead of paying doctors he is busy employing his friends as CASs and doubling state house budget,” he said.

After Migori the two leaders will move to Kisii, Nyamira and finally Homa Bay counties.

“We shall continue pushing Kenya Kwanza government until it brings down taxes,” he said.

Senator Kavindu said Kalonzo is fit to vie as the president in the next polls since

“He is as white as cotton and has no stains of corruption. We know when he gets the leadership of this country he will lead well,” she said.

“Ruto promised that presidency will be of hustlers, he lied and we want Kenyans to change direction and support Kalonzo.”

Senator  Wambua said the Nyanza tour was aimed at telling Nyanza people that Kalonzo is ready to take up leadership of the country.

“With Kalonzo, we will send Ruto home because he can't do his work, let him go home he said,” he said.

Matunguru MP Stephen Mule as Musyoka’s supporters they have decided to walk across the country to open offices and listen to the views of the citizens.
