Kenya Industrial Training Institute (KITTI) men’s football team beat Olessos 1-0 to lift the trophy as Rift Valley Technical Training Institute Sports Organisation games ended yesterday.
The games held at Kaiboi TTI in Nandi County saw KITTI advance to the final after eliminating hosts Kaiboi 2-1 while Olessos dispatched Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) 1-0. Women football saw RVTTI beat RVIST 3-2 on penalties after 1-1 draw in regulation time. RVTTI had defeated Kipsinende 3-0 while RVIST beat Kaiboi 1-0 in the semis.
In women’s volleyball, Kaiboi defeated RVTTI 3-2 in the final while hosts Kaiboi beat RVTTI 3-2 to win the men’s trophy. The host Principal Charles Koech who is also the KETTISO treasurer, said the teams that qualified in each category will proceed to the nationals set for July 29 in Thika. “We are very happy that we have staged a successful event and we hope to field the best teams from Rift Valley,” Koech said.
